What Is Professional Teeth Whitening?

Teeth whitening, also known as bleaching, is the process of whitening stained, discoloured or dull teeth. Typically, teeth whitening involves applying a specially formulated gel to the teeth, in a tray customised specifically for you,  which gently penetrates the teeth’s pores and removes any dark or yellow colouring. Teeth whitening is a simple, safe and effective method of achieving a whiter and brighter smile. And now, you can attain stain-free teeth in the comfort of your home.

Common Causes of Teeth Stains

There are many reasons why a person’s teeth may look stained, discoloured or dull. Some of these reasons include:

  • Poor oral hygiene
  • Certain medications
  • Illness or medical conditions
  • Ageing
  • Food and beverages
  • Tobacco use

Whatever the reason may be, our dental practitioners can help you get the white, sparkling smile you have always wanted.

Our Home Teeth Whitening Treatments

Brisbane Biodentistry is pleased to offer you a whitening kit that you can take home and do at your leisure. We will provide everything you need, with simple, clear instructions on how to safely whiten your teeth at home.

It’s important to note that before undergoing any teeth whitening treatment, we must assess your oral hygiene and dental health. Our assessment ensures you are a suitable candidate and can achieve optimal results. You must have had an examination and professional dental clean at Brisbane Biodentistry in the last six months, or you will be required to have one before beginning any whitening treatment.

Although the results can last for some time, teeth whitening is not permanent, so you may need to re-whiten your teeth at various intervals of time to maintain a bright smile.

Customised to Fit for Your Unique Bite

Your satisfaction with teeth whitening results is paramount. We want to offer you the opportunity to whiten your teeth to the shade you find most natural, comfortable and attractive. Our professional teeth whitening kits include custom whitening trays we create for a precise fit.

Unlike store-bought whitening trays, our custom trays conform to your mouth’s unique shape and contours. With our take-home whitening system, there is a reduced risk for tooth or gum sensitivity or uneven results.

These custom trays are also comfortable and easy to clean before and after use. Before you begin your treatment, our dental practitioners will discuss all instructions, expectations and more so you can reclaim your smile’s appearance.
